Among statistics, approved statistics that fall under the definition of statistics in the 「Statistics Act」 are highly evaluated in terms of robustness of evidence because the state has secured reliability and accuracy by managing the quality of statistics. 'Approved statistics' means statistics widely used in the establishment and evaluation of various government policies applied and designated by the National Statistical Office pursuant to Article 17 of the 「Statistics Act」 by statistical agencies, or the preparation of other statistics.
